WLF Report - August, 2009

The camping season is almost over and this year we had 1421 campers, and made it without any major problems. This is the 1st year that we have operated with a balanced budget, but with donations down this last year it's going to be hard to do this next year. Our District went from 7 Clubs that did not donate last year to 25 this last year. The Motorcycle Clubs did good for us again this year with a check of almost $24,000 and that brings their total dollars to almost $250,000.00. Cash for Kids Raffle did well, but I cannot give any figures at this time.

Open House at Your Lions Camp will be on September 19th and again we will have Families and the Kids that attend the Camp during the camping season there too spend the day with you.

Work day will be held on Saturday October 24th too get the Camp ready for the winter. We hope that many of you can be there as there are many things that have to be done.

Director Sam and I will be making as many Zone meetings as we can and the ones that we do not make this time we will make after the next Cabinet meeting, Sam and I will be trying to make as many clubs as we can this year to put on a Wisconsin Lions Foundation program.

We need everyone on the Cabinet to help us make this year a very successful one.
